Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day cybersecurity monitoring and analysis;
• Conduct security audits to detect violations or vulnerabilities;
• Perform internal penetration testing and vulnerability assessments;
• Implement and maintain security controls across IT infrastructure;
• Upgrade IT infrastructure to align with security best practices within bank environment;
• Research, test, and deploy new security technologies;
• Develop, review, and maintain the cybersecurity framework, security baselines, governance, policies, and strategies;
• Assists other staff in the management and oversight of security program functions;
• Ability to train staff on security awareness and best practices;
• Collaborate with IT Security team in Cambodia HQ on technical solutions;
• Coordinate with Bank of Lao (BOL) on cybersecurity matters;
• Prepare documentation and reports to support internal and external audits.

Job Purpose

This role is critical to Canadia Bank Lao’s cybersecurity posture as a member of the Cybersecurity Sharing Group of BOL. The position ensures secure IT operations, coordinates with internal teams and external regulators, and supports compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Master or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity.
• Professional certifications preferred: CISSP, CEH, ISO 27001 or equivalent is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of network security, penetration testing, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks;
• Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM tools, and endpoint protection;
• Knowledge of IT security concept, computer science, or a related field;
• Outstanding leadership, organizational and time management skills;
• Good understanding of security principles and best practices;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Willing to learn, fast leaner, flexibility, self-motivate and “Can do” attitude;
• Good communication skills for coordination with internal IT teams, parent bank (Cambodia HQ), and BOL regulators;
• Minimum 4 years of IT security or IT specialist experience in banking or financial institutions.
